Alabama Homes
Alabama Homestead
There I was, driving through the most isolated backroads of Alabama, when something unusual caught my eye. At first, it was a broken-down house—one of those places you don’t dare step into because your weight might be the final push that brings it all crashing down. But that wasn’t the real discovery.
Booker T Washington
Booker T. Washington, one of my favorite figures from history, was a pioneering African-American educator, author, and advisor to multiple presidents.
Johnston Curtis House
Explore the Johnston-Curtright House, a stunning example of Greek Revival architecture built around 1850 for Burr Harrison Johnston, a prominent lawyer and Alabama Constitutional Convention delegate.
China Dolls
Hidden away in the depths of rural Alabama, veiled by a lush curtain of azalea bushes, stood a house that whispered tales of yesteryears.
Decayed Grandeur
In the heart of Union Springs, Alabama, stands a testament to architectural grandeur of a bygone era — a stately house that masterfully blends the Greek Revival and Italianate styles.
Random Alabama Plantation
While traversing the backroads of Alabama, we ran across this home that looks like it may be being restored. We knocked on the door, but no one was home. There are some belongings still inside & there is a power meter installed. The design outside in amazing & I wish we could have toured the inside. Maybe next time.
Spanish Style Mansion
Some say this was once a beautiful home. I say it is still magnificent! Designed by the same person who has designed other historical homes & buildings throughout south Alabama. The house was apparently won in a poker game as I have been told. The property is off limits to trespassers. I had the luxury of being invited to do this shoot by a member of the family.
